Maldives’ Shaha Elected as a Committee Member of Ju-Jitsu International Federation (JJIF) Women’s Commission
Shaha from the Maldives Ju-Jitsu Association has been elected as a committee member of the Ju-Jitsu International Federation (JJIF) Women's Commission.
Shaha was elected during the JJIF Congress 2021, which took place in Abu Dhabi, the capital city of the UAE. This congress marked the first time the Maldives participated.
During the congress, Shaha obtained two positions:
Committee Member of the Women's Commission Joint Secretary of the South Regional Ju-Jitsu Association The federation has entrusted her with the responsibility of empowering and encouraging women to participate in the art.
Following the congress, the Ju-Jitsu World Championship will take place from November 1st to November 11th. During the tournament, a team from the Maldives will visit Abu Dhabi to participate in training and grading conducted by the Ju-Jitsu International Federation. This training aims to ensure that the Maldives has qualified and authorized members as coaches, athletes, and referees.
